So you’ve spent the last couple decades milking your satellite dish capabilities and now you want to take up street bike racing? It’s going to be an uphill battle but it’s a great sport to sink your effort intohere are some tips for the amateur street bike adventurer who’s getting up there.
Start Slow: There’s no reason you should feel like you have to start off at Lance Armstrong pacetake it nice and easy and try to ride daily, if possible. Make it a few minutes longer each day and gradually increase your stamina.
Ride With a Partner: It’s best to learn if you’ve got help from someone who knows the sport. Talk to a professional trainer or even work with a friend who’s more experienced so you can get the best education.
Sign Up for a Race: There’s nothing to motivate you like knowing you’ve got to perform in front of people so sign up for an amateur race and get yourself going. If you know you’ve got to work well later, you’ll work harder now.
